Uniqlo To Be Presenting Sponsor For “KAWS: What Party”

Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo has announced that it will be the presenting sponsor for the global run of “KAWS: WHAT PARTY,” a major new exhibition of the artist’s work.

The exhibition, organized by The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, will open at the museum on May 18, 2024 and will subsequently travel to museums around the world.

Uniqlo will also release a limited-edition collection of clothing and accessories featuring KAWS’s signature designs to coincide with the exhibition.

About “KAWS: WHAT PARTY”

“KAWS: WHAT PARTY” will be the most comprehensive survey of KAWS’s work to date, featuring more than 100 works from across his career.

The exhibition will explore the artist’s wide-ranging practice, from his early graffiti and street art to his more recent paintings, sculptures, and large-scale installations.

It will also examine the influence of pop culture on KAWS’s work and his role in blurring the lines between high and low art.

Uniqlo’s Sponsorship

As presenting sponsor of “KAWS: WHAT PARTY,” Uniqlo will provide financial support for the exhibition and develop a range of educational programs and initiatives.

The company will also host a series of special events and activities in conjunction with the exhibition, including a public lecture by KAWS at The Andy Warhol Museum.

Uniqlo’s collaboration with KAWS and The Andy Warhol Museum is a continuation of the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting contemporary art and culture.
