USMNT to Face Mexico in October Friendly
Teams to Meet for First Time on Mexican Soil Since 2012
Match Part of October International Window
The United States Men's National Team (USMNT) will face Mexico in a friendly match on October 15th in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The match will be the first meeting between the two teams on Mexican soil since August 15th, 2012, when a goal from Michael Orozco led Mexico to a 1-0 victory.
The USMNT will open the October international window with a home match against Panama on October 12th in Austin, Texas, before traveling to Guadalajara to face Mexico.

Mexico Friendly Part of Longstanding Rivalry
The match between the USMNT and Mexico is one of the most heated rivalries in international soccer.
The two teams have met 75 times, with Mexico holding a 36-23-16 advantage in the series.
The last meeting between the two teams was a 2-0 win for Mexico in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup final.

In addition to the match against Mexico, the USMNT will also play a friendly against Japan on October 19th in Dusseldorf, Germany.
These matches will be part of the USMNT's preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
