Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Score: Pakistan Look Strong With Bat In Hand

Rain delays start of play on Day 2

Saud Shakeel, Saim Ayub rescue Pakistan with battling fifties

Pakistan reached 158/4 at stumps on Day 1 of the first Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, thanks to half-centuries from Saud Shakeel and Saim Ayub.

After Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field, Pakistan lost three wickets in the first hour, including captain Babar Azam for 13.

However, Shakeel (50) and Ayub (52) steadied the innings with a 102-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

The rain interrupted play several times throughout the day, but Pakistan managed to bat for most of the day to secure a strong position.

Pakistan will resume their innings on Day 2 with Abrar Ahmed and Azhar Ali at the crease, looking to build a strong total.

Bangladesh will need to make early inroads with the ball if they want to get back into the match.
