Houston Astros Extend Win Streak to Six Games

The Houston Astros completed a three-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, winning 6-2 at Fenway Park. The Astros have now won six straight games and hold a 4.5-game lead in the AL West.

Houston's offense was led by Kyle Tucker, who hit two home runs and drove in three runs. Yordan Alvarez also homered for the Astros.

The Red Sox got on the board in the first inning on a Jackie Bradley Jr. home run, but the Astros answered back with three runs in the second inning off Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta.

The Astros added two more runs in the fourth inning on a Tucker home run and an Alex Bregman RBI single.

The Red Sox scored their final run in the fifth inning on a Rafael Devers RBI single.

Astros starter Luis Garcia allowed two runs on seven hits in five innings of work. He struck out five batters and walked none. Cristian Javier, Ryne Stanek, and Rafael Montero combined to allow no runs on two hits in four innings of relief.

Pivetta allowed five runs on eight hits in three innings of work. He struck out three batters and walked two.
